Houston Museum of Natural Science
The Houston Museum of Natural Science is located at 5555 Hermann Park Dr, Houston, TX 77030. This large, sprawling museum is chock-full of interesting exhibits. The Houston Museum of Natural Science has something for everyone. Whether you’re interested in Texas history or a curious mind, you can’t miss this museum! It features the Cockrell Butterfly Center and Burke Baker Planetarium. Additionally, the Museum of Natural Science hosts a variety of events throughout the year. During the fall, you can take in a performance of Houston Ballet, one of the best ballet companies in the United States. The season runs from September to May, and performances include classical ballets. There’s even a class for beginners!
If you have time, you should also visit the Houston Space Center, which is home to NASA’s official visitor center. It’s a huge complex with a variety of exhibits, including a life-sized shuttle and carrier. You can also touch a moon rock, and learn about the latest projects being undertaken by NASA. You’ll also want to check out Houston’s water-wall park. Located near the Galleria mall on Post Oak Boulevard, the 20-meter high water wall is one of the city’s most beautiful attractions. The Children’s Museum of Houston is a fantastic place to take a family. From tots to toddlers, you’ll find activities for all ages here.
